5. 입학에 필요한 학력 조건: Bachelor’s degree of Engineering or above, Junior/Associated bachelor’s degree with work experience can be considered.  Successfully completed a bachelor degree in an engineering discipline from an approved and accredited overseas institution, with a pass mark of 65% or more or a Cumulative GPA of 6.5 or more
 
6. 영어 입학 조건:  IELTS 6.0 (Writing & Speaking 6.0, Reading & Listening 5.5 or over); or NZCEL Level 4 completion; or equivalent


7. Engineering Development Project
30크레디트로 구성된 프로젝터 형 수업인 Engineering Development Project는 학생들을  진정한 의미의 산학협력 참여형 수업으로 이끌어 줍니다. Part A 와 B로 구성되어 있느 EDP는 현장에 필요한 이론, 보고서 작성, 인허가 업무 등을 먼저 배운 후에 산업체와 관공서에서 필요로 하는 실전 연습을 하도록 구성되어 취업에 매우 유용합니다.

Wintec is in the centre of New Zealand dairy industry, tourism, logistics, horticulture, etc and is also located in the commercial hub in that region. Our graduates are spreading across New Zealand with their Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Electrical Engineering skills.

In Hamilton, there is the Te Rapa Industrial Zone which has a lot of job opportunities. Just visit them and “Knock the Door!”, then you can be hired without sending CVs to HR.

1. Do our engineering programme leads to pathway for Engineering registration and what is the procedure to work as an Engineer?

Yes, the programmes which are delivered by WINTEC can easily leads to get register in Engineers NZ (formally known as IPENZ). In my case, I got my student registration while I was studying G. Dip in Engineering Technology. as this was a Level 7 programme and which is equivalent to BEngTech. The procedure to get the registration is very easy, while you are studying, just register yourself with student membership which is free of cost. 2. What are the job opportunities for Mechatronics, Mechanical, Water and Water Waste and which companies are hiring them?

I have studied Roading and Transportation so I can comment only on that, however what I’ve observed that many students got the job who studied Mechanical, water and wastewater. There are heaps of private companies who are hiring student of this backgrounds.
Roading and Transportation: NZ Construction Industry is very huge, so that demand for the best engineer is always available. Every year many Private companies and councils hires the Graduate Engineers such as;

3. What percentage of Graduate Diploma in Engineering is practical education?

To quantify, it is 50-50. The first 50 includes the one-year project and other unit projects which need to be finished at the end of every semester. The other 50 is mostly based on the AustRoads/NZ standards, that one need to understand before start working as an engineer in Roading/Transportation Industry in New Zealand. What I learn from theories, I’m still using it.
4.Can the graduates (international students) with GD in Engineering Qualification work straight way without registration or they have to go through registration to find a job?
Yes, the graduates of G.Dip in Engineering qualification can work without the registrations. But at some stage he/she required to get the registration for his/her own development toward working as a Chartered Engineer.
In my experiences, I have not seen any of the student who can’t get the job just because they did not have registration of Engineers NZ.
